Today is not just the first day of the best season of the year but it also happens to be the day that one of the most important people to me was born. Sure, today we all celebrate the end of winter and the promise that is spring. But today I also have the pleasure of celebrating my incredible husband, Travis on his 40th birthday.
I have been blessed beyond measure to have had this amazing man in my life for the past 20 years. He and our daughter are my heart, my everything, and I can’t think of better people to celebrate. Today is his day and I am so excited. I’m cooking up the dinner of his choice for nice quiet family dinner at home. My family recipe lasagna, Caesar salad with homemade croutons and fresh French bread garlic bread. Saturday we are hosting a birthday bash at our home. We are looking forward to filling our house with the love and laughter of family and friends.
I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that my Handsome Hubby has turned 40. Not really because I think 40 is old, even though I tease him about being an old man now, but more so because it still feels like we just met. Like we are still two young kids starting out in this crazy life together.
He has remained one of the most compassionate, thoughtful, heartfelt men I have yet to meet. This man is selfless, hardworking, dedicated and hugely tolerant of my impetuous and demanding ways. Travis is a son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
Trav is fiercely loyal and loving. He will do anything he can for everyone he loves. He is funny and smart and kind and, well, he is just about everything great. With that I want to wish my Babe, a most incredibly happy 40th birthday. Here’s to many, many more!
